Sparkling benefit gala returns to Jupiter lighthouse

Rendezvous at the Light, the annual waterfront gala benefiting the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum, returns this year along the shores of the Jupiter Inlet.

The gala, with hors d’oeuvres from popular area restaurants, live music, wine and beer and a silent auction, will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 20 on the historic grounds of the lighthouse, 500 Captain Armour’s Way in Jupiter.

Proceeds from the biggest charity event of the year for the lighthouse and museum help pay for operations, educational programming and historic preservation at the heritage site.

Last year’s Rendezvous was temporarily replaced by the online fundraiser Step Up for the Light because of the pandemic. Step Up for the Light was such a success last year it is again being offered as an online fundraiser. Also, the public can “Adopt a Lighthouse Step” for 2022.

“Rendezvous is my favorite event of the year,” said Katrina Heller, director of operations of the Loxahatchee River Historical Society, which operates the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum. “It’s the combination of the community coming together, along with our local restaurants and supporters, all under the lighthouse beam to recognize and celebrate our mission; it’s truly a special event.”

Rendezvous helps kick off the holiday season for Jupiter; the top of the lighthouse is lit with twinkle-lights, garland and bows. Guests sponsoring tables are invited to attend the VIP pre-party beginning at 5 p.m.

“Each year we eagerly anticipate this very special occasion that brings friends together to rendezvous in the beautiful, historical setting of the Lighthouse grounds to honor and support this treasured site,” said Jamie Stuve, president and CEO of the Loxahatchee River Historical Society. “It’s especially poignant on the eve of the Historical Society’s 50th anniversary in January 2022.”

Restaurants scheduled to provide food at the gala include Tommy Bahama Jupiter, Cafe Chardonnay, Guanabanas, Lucky Shuck Oyster Bar & Taphouse, Brick & Barrel, Hog Snappers, Oceana Coffee, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Dune Dog, Lighthouse Diner, Bolay, Mana Greek Fusion and Little Moir’s Food Shack. Guests will also enjoy wines and select beers from local providers.

Tickets are $125 per person. Sponsorship tables that include the pre-party are available. For tickets and information, see www.bit.ly/JILMRATL21.

A silent auction will offer creations from Captain Kimo, Kelly Trackt Art, Greg Panas Photography, Peace Love Art, LaPierre and Jack Bates. Special experiences will be auctioned from Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant, Casa Maria Restaurant, Mirasol Club & Association and Honda Classic and Timbers Jupiter; while travel adventures include The Verandah Resort & Spa, Antigua; Palm Island Resort, The Grenadines; Los Establos Boutique Inn, Panama; Pineapple Beach Club, Antigua; The Club Barbados Resort & Spa; St. James’s Club & Villas, Antigua; St. James’s Club Morgan Bay, St Lucia; and Hammock Cove Resort & Spa, Antigua.
