House Music for Housing is holding a new and first-of-its-kind community dance party to benefit Habitat for Humanity.

The event, hosted by Habitat Young Professionals, is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 17, at Northwood Arts and Music in West Palm Beach.

Habitat Young Professionals hope the event will bring people together in the spirit of love for dancing to create a home for a family in need in a space where all are welcomed and celebrated.

“It’s an honor to be spinning records with this talented group of local West Palm Beach DJs at the upcoming House Music for Housing event,” said DJ Slice. “As house prices continue to rise in the local market, so does the importance of raising awareness and support of Habitat for Humanity’s programs to service our communities. And what better way to do so than by coming together and dancing to some real house music.”

“Music has been the greatest tool discovered throughout history. It has the power to break boundaries, unite cultures, and build communities,” said DJ Yepecc. “House music, since the beginning, has been the epitome of unity, providing a ground for people to release emotionally and feel a level of freedom unlike any other.”

The dance party is from 2 to 8 p.m. and tickets cost $35.For details, visit habitatgreaterpbc.org/.
